Now serving all of Central Texas, ACGC works with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals to offer three programs: _Care & Treatment_: individual, family and group therapy; psychiatric and psychological services and a child and adolescent walk-in clinic. _Professional Development & Training_: internal and external training of the next generation of mental health providers in our community and corporate and nonprofit training and consultation. _Community Education_: free parent workshops, panel discussions, resource guides and a bi-weekly podcast. ACGC is committed to providing accessible, high-quality mental health services to children and families in Central Texas.

**JOB TITLE**: Community Engagement Coordinator

**DEPARTMENT**: Clinical/Programs

**REPORTS TO**: Associate Director of Human Services

**SUMMARY**: This position is responsible for overseeing the Austin Child Guidance Center (ACGC) Outreach and Volunteer Programs. The Outreach/Volunteer coordinator activities include but are not limited to making phone calls to potential partners and stakeholders, attending Community Resource Fairs, PTA nights, networking events and recruiting volunteers to meet ACGC needs. This position must ensure that all volunteers are properly trained and that they are aware of the policies and procedures of the organization. Along with other members of the Operations Team, this position is also responsible for coordinating ACGC hospitality services.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Follows ACGC’s outreach and volunteer plan to ensure program goals and objectives are accomplished for ACGC’s service area of Travis and nine (9) surrounding counties.
- Develops relationships with community organizations and community leaders to produce referrals and develop client participation.
- Maintains a database of current partner organizations as well as potential partners.
- Trains volunteer to participate in outreach events, including, but not limited to, community events and resource fairs.
- Coordinates volunteer recruitment based on ACGC needs.
- Provides input to presentations and other promotional material that supports outreach efforts.
- Provides basic technology assistance to clients in underserved communities on the use of tablets and video conferencing.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
- Drives to community events and travels within Travis and the surrounding counties for outreach efforts.

**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite
- Other skills preferred: Bilingual (Spanish/English)
- Experience coordinating and recruiting volunteers.
- Experience engaging underserved populations (Spanish speakers; those with low income; members of the BIPOC community; those living outside of city limits; those who are un/underinsured)
- Valid Driver’s License, auto insurance, and reliable transportation for travel in Travis and surrounding nine (9) counties.
