**The Health/ Nutrition Coordinator **has primary responsibility for managing, planning, and implementing comprehensive health, dental, and nutrition services for children and their families enrolled in Early Childhood center-based programs. This position will ensure all health history and documentation is completed by Family Support Specialists (FSS) and entered at enrollments and ongoing. Extensive interaction with staff, parents, children, and the border Early Childhood Programs staff is also required. Additionally, this position will collaborate and work closely with the FSS staff to plan integrated services for all enrolled children. The implementation of comprehensive services will take place across programs at Hyde Park and South Shore locations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Services, Early Childhood Education, or related field.
- Two-(2) to three-(3) years experience in Early Childhood, social services, or a family support program.
- Knowledge of the CSDCares/ChildPlus systems (preferred).
- Experience monitoring the implementation of the menus, recipes, Food Service preparation, kitchen cleanliness, food handling, and dishwashing procedures; in maintaining records for the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). This includes monitoring classroom mealtimes and conducting three ISBE monitoring events within the program year with follow-up.
- Demonstrated experience providing parent education to families ensuring children have complete medical/dental treatment and ongoing medical needs.
- Knowledge of community resources, develop written health, sanitation, and food service policies and procedures ensuring compliance with local and state regulations.
- Good writing and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team.

Expected Salary: Not to exceed $52,000/year.
- This is a full-time exempt position.
