Key Responsibilities:

As a Registered Dietitian, you will deliver exceptional nutritional care by developing, implementing, and monitoring Medical Nutrition Therapies. You will work in partnership with medical staff, patients, families, and the food service department to ensure the effective execution of nutrition care plans.

  • Conduct nutritional assessments and re-assessments, identifying objectives, recommending interventions, and tracking patient progress.
  • Design and oversee enteral and/or parenteral nutrition support plans.
  • Collaborate with the Speech Therapy Department to facilitate safe transitions to textured modified diets.
  • Ensure nutrition support orders align with established guidelines and protocols.
  • Incorporate cultural, religious, and ethnic considerations into nutrition care plans.
  • Review and update therapeutic diet manuals annually, providing education to clinical and food service staff.
  • Stay informed on current nutritional practices and maintain professional registration requirements.
  • Evaluate potential interactions between food, drugs, and supplements.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and needs.
  • Contribute to menu development and standardization.
  • Perform meal rounds to verify that patient meals meet prescribed dietary standards.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition or a related field.
  • Current state licensure/certification as required.
  • Registration with the Commission on Dietetics Registration.
  • At least one year of experience in a clinical setting with relevant responsibilities.
