**About the Fiver Children’s Foundation**
Through our one-of-a-kind ten-year commitment, Fiver provides experiences that challenge and builds relationships that nurture so that youth from systemically under-resourced communities in New York can create their own positive futures.
This summer, Fiver will begin our 25th anniversary celebration With a budget of just over $2.7 million (and growing), Fiver is seeking a Development Manager to join our team to help us achieve our ambitious fundraising goals.
**Position Overview**
This full-time position is part of Fiver’s development team, reports directly to the Senior Director of Development, and supervises a contract grant writer. The manager will interact regularly with program participants in our midtown Manhattan office and on occasional visits to our camp in central New York during the summer.
**Development Manager**
- Grants Management Responsibilities (60%)_
- Write, edit, and prepare grants for submission, in collaboration with the contract grant writer.
- Supervise and delegate assignments to the contract grant writer.
- Oversee foundation stewardship and scheduling of site visits.
- Review and revise grant template language as needed to reflect Fiver’s DEIB values while representing our data and programs accurately.
- Create foundation reports and prospecting targets list for board meetings.
- Work closely with Executive Director and Deputy Executive Director to create and implement astrategy for foundation support and prospecting, and meet competing deadlines
- Development and Marketing Responsibilities (40%)_
- Partner with the Senior Director of Development to set marketing priorities, and develop an annual communications calendar.
- Implement new brand guidelines across all external-facing documents and platforms managed by the development team.
- Support annual training of staff on brand guidelines.
- Write content for all marketing collateral including e-newsletters, annual reports, and social media.
- In collaboration with the Senior Director of Development and Donor Engagement Associate, maintain the organization’s website, ensuring information is up to date and relevant to visitors.
- Support summer and year-end fundraising campaigns and cultivation efforts by creating communication materials that supplement these efforts.
- Support Fiver special events - marketing, day of prep, and implementation.
- Create ad-hoc marketing materials to support board member outreach to potential donors and funders.
- Oversee and manage the execution of social media strategy.
- Support marketing committee of the board by attending meetings with the Senior Director ofDevelopment as a co-staff liaison.
**Core Competencies and Qualifications**
- 3+ years of related work experience.
- Excellent writing skills and the ability to edit and present funding proposals and reports in a clear and compelling manner
- Ability to multitask and work well in a team, as well as independently.
- Motivated, “can do” attitude, friendly personality, quick learner, and a desire to take initiative.
- Highly organized, attentive to detail, and able to work within tight deadlines
- Able to work collaboratively with all levels of staff, donors, and community partners
- A high level of computer literacy required, including familiarity with funding software (Raiser’sEdge or similar database), Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Asana, Squarespace website platform, Canva, social media platforms (Facebook, Linked In & Instagram) and Google Suite.
