**JOB SUMMARY**: Summer Employment Coordinators are responsible for supervising and implementing the 5-week summer youth employment program.

**WORK SCHEDULE DEMANDS**:

- Temporary, 7-week program; full-time; 30 hours per week. Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
- May be required to work at any CCAP location
- Will be required to travel between youth centers throughout Rhode Island.
- Typical schedule would be weekdays, with occasional evenings.
- Due to the nature of the job, this individual must be flexible with their schedule to accommodate the client population.

**Requirements**:
**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with youth, staff, local businesses, and parents effectively.
- Experience in facilitating workshops or training sessions, preferably in a virtual setting.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain accurate records and develop daily plans for worksite visits.
- Ability to address and resolve issues promptly and professionally, maintaining a positive and supportive environment for all parties involved.
- Knowledge and understanding of youth development principles and best practices, with a passion for empowering and supporting young individuals.
- Valid driver’s license and proof of liability insurance

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Work with youth aged 14-24 years old, ensuring their engagement and participation in our summer employment program.
- Facilitate engaging and informative workshops over Zoom or Teams, covering topics such as job readiness, financial literacy, and career exploration.
- Maintain accurate attendance records for workshops and internships, ensuring accountability and tracking progress.
- Effectively communicate with youth, staff, and parents, providing timely updates, addressing concerns, and fostering a supportive environment.
- Create a daily plan for worksite visits, ensuring regular check-ins with youth, worksite supervisors and youth center staff to address any issues and provide necessary support.
- Requires daily site visits to check on participants at their worksites throughout the catchment area. The majority of work hours for this position is spent on the road, interacting with youth and worksite supervisors. Minimal time will be spent in the office for payroll, checking in with staff and completing mileage reports.
- Strong knowledge and use of Microsoft and Google platforms
- Performs all other related duties as assigned.?

This position requires the individual to have their own transportation, a current unrestricted license to drive, documented auto insurance and the individual must be willing to work in other CCAP locations. This job will require a significant amount of driving when tracking youth at their worksites.
