Intermediate experience with Nurse’s Aide

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

Intermediate experience with Microsoft and Apple operating systems

Intermediate knowledge of databases

Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws

Experience working both independently and, in a team, -oriented, collaborative environment

Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records

Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and do word processing

Proficient keyboarding and file maintenance skills

Ability to meet established deadlines

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

**Experience**:
Three years advanced experience in Texas student information systems.

**Major Responsibilities and Duties**:
Analyze and assess existing business systems and procedures and translate them into Student Information System setups and procedures.

Assist in the definition, development, and documentation of business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users and departments.

Performs all operations necessary to maintain and/or improve and increase the functionality of the Student Information System, including but not limited to the setup of school sites, courses, calendars,

copying and re-entering yearly setup information, yearly roll-overs, schedules, attendance codes, bell schedules, inactive staff, build new staff accounts and add permissions, etc

Perform Progress Report and Report Card print runs.

Prioritize incoming problems and schedule solutions accordingly. Escalate issues (as needed) to the appropriate person.

Build rapport with the user community to understand their problems, develop procedures and structures to solve the problems and instruct users how to use these to find the solution.

Maintain an excellent working relation with the different support teams of the Student Information System vendor.

Develop and maintain a complete understanding between the user interface and the database tables and fields in the background.

Assist the Systems Analyst with all questions of functionality and interpretation of the meaning of data elements.

Perform post-resolution follow-ups with users. Evaluate the resolutions and analyze trends for help in preventing future problems.

Develop help sheets and FAQs for end users.

Perform trainings for all district employees, including, but not limited to administrators, teachers, and

support staff.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Attend all SIS and training workshops, relative to student services.

Supervise Student Information data for accuracy. (_At-Risk, Gifted and Talented, Title I, Special Education,_
- BIL/LEP, Discipline, Career and Technology, Leaver, Econ Disadvantage, ESY/OEYP Services and Attendance_)

Interpret and implement new changes which effect the district through the student software.
- Update and prepare district manuals pertaining to the student software.
- Disseminate software manuals by area of responsibility to necessary personnel.

Monitor student data for accuracy and compliance.

Set-up and run senior final rank and GPA fifth six weeks.

Run end of year process for District in student software.

Create new student online or paper packets for next year.

Create returning student registration online.
