- Knowledge of operating systems:
- Microsoft Windows 10
- Mac OS X 10.9+
- iOS 7+
- Apple hardware including iPad, iPod, iMac, Macbook Air, Apple TV
- HP and Dell (Latitude and Optiplex) systems
- Knowledge of computer hardware, software and imaging practices
- Ability to install, maintain, and repair computers and peripherals, including printers, document cameras, projectors, interactive whiteboards, wireless slates, security cameras, and VoIP phones
- Mandatory training and certifications in job duties will be required
**Experience**:
- Two years of computer related experience and general knowledge of computer and network maintenance

**Major Responsibilities and Duties**:
- Assist Technology department in performing hardware and software inventories.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and solve hardware and software problems on Windows and OS X based computer systems.
- Diagnose and repair equipment, including printers, Apple TV, projectors, interactive whiteboards, document cameras,
- wireless slates, security cameras, and VoIP Phones.
- Deploy computers and peripherals to district standards
- Relocate computer hardware, peripherals, and equipment as needed.
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of data communications circuits and equipment.
- Service equipment according to established preventive maintenance schedule.
- Maintain accurate updated records of preventive maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of time and materials required to perform repairs and service.
- Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.

**Qualities of an Effective Computer Technician**:
- Demonstrate proficiency in trouble shooting skills
- Ability to work with people in a positive, friendly and helpful manner; skilled in organizational and time management
- Provide quality customer service and effectively communicate with others
- Effectively escalate issues through the proper process
- Demonstrate sensitivity and flexibility in working with adults and students
- Daily attendance at work and punctuality are essential.
- Operate tools and equipment according to prescribed safety procedures.
- Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, climbing and carrying.
- Correct unsafe conditions in the work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to the supervisor
- immediately.

- None.

- Hand tools and test instruments for electronic repairs and cable installations. Personal computers and peripherals.

- Maintain emotional control under stress; work with frequent interruptions/deadlines; frequent climbing, stooping, walking, balancing, pulling, pushing, bending, and kneeling; frequent use of small hand tools and electronic test equipment; frequent district wide travel.
- Occasional prolonged and irregular hours.
- May be required to be on-call 24 hours a day.
