**Position Summary**:
The NO|MA House Sales Associate is a critical part of the retail team, providing customers with the support and assistance they need to have a positive shopping experience and driving sales for the collective. This role will work collaboratively with the retail and café team to ensure that customers have a positive experience at the café and retail shop.

**Education & Experience**:

- Previous experience in retail is preferred.
- Experience with POS systems (experience with Square is a plus)
- Professional working proficiency of English language.

**Required Skills / Abilities**:

- Positive can-do attitude and people person demeanor.
- Possess a passion for products, particularly in the beauty, wellness and home categories.
- Strong communication skills, both with customers and with other members of the team.
- Ability to multitask while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Physical stamina, as this position requires you to able to stand for long periods of time, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to count and handle cash with confidence.

**Duties / Responsibilities**:

- Greet customers as they enter the store, making them feel welcome.
- Assist customers with their purchases, including answering questions about products, brands, and artisans.
- Possess a solid knowledge of products being sold by NO|MA House: home and jewelry products: tell story of makers and artisans; beauty and wellness: describe brands and individual product benefits.
- Process transactions through the POS ipad and payments. This includes operating the cash register, running credit cards, handling cash, and making change.
- Maintain the appearance of the store, including restocking shelves, organizing displays, and keeping the store clean and presentable.
- Support the café and retail manager in overseeing the inventory of products and supplies. Ensure the stockroom is organized and conduct regular inventory counts to ensure optimal inventory levels.
- Provide customer feedback to management on products, needs/preferences, issues and overall shopping experience.
- This position may also require agility, adaptability, and the ability to pivot quickly in response to changing situations. You may be asked to jump in and help the team in a variety of ways not listed in this position description.

**Schedule**:

- Full-time; approximately 32 hours per week.
- Schedule will typically be from 9:30am - 5:30pm; Thursday - Friday.

**Benefits**:

- $22 per hour.

- 50% discount on beauty and wellness products and 20% discount on all other retail products.

Pay: Up to $22.00 per hour
