**Assistant Catering & Event Manager**:

- We're looking for a leadership role in our rapidly growing catering department at Banzo. This position will feature a mix of time spent in the office (about 25-30 hrs/wk) and on-site at events (additional 8-15 hrs/wk in the summer). This position will work closely with our General Manager and Event Coordinator to handle incoming catering requests, create catering invoices, coordinate catering orders, and oversee successful execution of special events.
- Minimum 1-2 years customer service and/or kitchen experience, some supervisory experience preferred
- Has great communications skills; enjoys working on a team
- Is able to supervise a small team to execute catering events
- Pays close attention to detail
- Is familiar with using sheets and/or excel
- Possesses a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Understands food safety
- Delivers excellent customer service
- Maintains a clean and orderly workspace, including washing dishes
- Prioritizes hygiene and cleanliness
- Is able to lift 40 lbs. and stand for 6+ hours at a time

**SCHEDULE**
- Schedule varies throughout the year with events, but will average 25-30 hrs/week during the winter and up to 40 hrs/week in the summer
- Must have flexible schedule and some weekend availability

**COMPENSATION**
- Starting hourly wage plus tips brings wage up to **at least $22/hour** or more
- ** Paid** vacation _AND_ paid sick time

**GENERAL JOB EXPECTATIONS**

**Administrative Work (in office)**- Process catering requests at least 5 days per week, preferably Tuesday-Saturday-
- Respond to customers within 1 business day of requests being placed-
- Create and distribute invoices for daily catering orders-
- Forward all “fully staffed” and “food cart” special event requests to Catering & Special Event Coordinator-
- Answer catering line when working in catering office-
- Keeps Catering Calendar up to date with daily catering and special events-
- Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the Catering & Special Event Coordinator**Event Execution (on site at events)**
- Responsible for executing off-site catering events under the supervision and with support of the event manager.
- Events range from anywhere between 50-250 guests with service as either a buffet or from our food cart.
- Ability to drive the company vehicle and tow the food cart will be one key component of this position.
- Successful execution of catering events may include: communicating with on-site venue coordinator, setting up food cart for service, setting up buffet line, maintaining food cart before/after service, general cleaning and maintaining of catering supplies and equipment
