**Property Accountant Job Description**

We are looking for a diligent full-time, in-house Property Accountant to join our growing business. The Accountant's responsibilities include maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with budget and close processes and maintaining accounts payable documentation. You will also be assisting the Director of Finance as needed and respond to information requests by management to provide important value-added data for decision making. Your input and ideas will be valued and appreciated.

To be successful as an Accountant, you should be able to accurately maintain a general ledger and ensure compliance with GAAP. Accountant should have good communication, organizational, analytical and time management skills with the ability to multitask. Successful traits of an Accountant include critical thinking or problem solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances throughout one’s schedule.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
- Preparing journal entries, analysis, account reconciliations, CAM reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes.
- Contributing to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.
- Maintaining documentation for accounts payable, purchasing and treasury.
- Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Meeting processing and reporting deadlines.
- Responding to information requests and reviewing financial statements.
- Ensuring compliance with GAAP.
- Assisting the Director of Finance as needed.

**Requirements**:

- Associate degree in accounting required.
- A Bachelor’s degree and property accounting experience preferred.
- Communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Working knowledge of GAAP.
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
- Good problem-solving and time management skills.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Cashflow analysis skills.

**In this position you will receive**:

- Compensation $28 - $36/hr. depending on experience
