The Agency Training Director develops, facilitates and implements training programs for the agency, departments and all employees, in addition to determining applicable outside training resources.

**Responsibilities**
- Managing training strategies and processes
- Lead in the design, development and implementation of programs, policies and strategies tailored to meet training needs and program goals.
- Design and execute key programmatic elements of the training process.
- Evaluates organizational knowledge. Recommends appropriate learning, organizational development or performance improvement solutions to enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Develops tools and assessment strategies to evaluate the effectiveness of training courses and the development processes.
- Delivers and facilitates training programs in both instructor-led and web-based formats to support ongoing improvement of staff, including programs outside of assigned curricula to support team members and shifting business needs.
- Remains current on developments in training and instructional methodologies including technology enhancements and attends periodic seminars, forums, and meetings to ensure currency of education.
- Authors and organizes training systems procedural manuals and supporting documentation for training programs and systems in accordance with ISD requirements.
- Setting, coordinating and implementing program initiatives to assure compliance with CARF accreditation standards as well as serves as a resource for the organization for the interpretation of accreditation standards and facilitates CARF Accreditation.
- Confer with management, supervisors and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies.
- Test trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training.
- Select and manage vendors for training development tools and systems.
- Ensure all state regulations are kept current in all training courses.
- Directly supervise, interview, and hire team members; appraise work performance, recognition, and oversee performance management of employees

**Physical Requirements**
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Prolonged standing and bending
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

**Qualifications**
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability
- Must be results-driven and community oriented while serving agency mission
- Excellent management and supervisory skills.
- Strong facilitation skills and public speaking experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

**Education and Experience**
- Bachelors Degree or commensurate experience
- 3-5 year’s experience in related field
- Experience with developmentally disabled population preferred
