Legal Administrative Assistant

**Job description**
Busy boutique estate planning law firm in Brighton, MA seeks experienced estate planning/estate administration legal administrative assistant for a full-time position. This position will provide all aspects of administrate support for multiple attorneys, paralegals and other Firm staff.
**Responsibilities**
- Assists and supports lawyers, paralegals and other staff with their work as needed.
- Enhances attorney effectiveness by providing information-management support and representing the attorney(s) to clients and others.
- Welcomes guests and clients by greeting them in person or on the telephone, and by answering or directing inquiries.
- Reads, reviews, verifies, and routes correspondence, reports, and legal documents.
- Drafts, revises, edits and/or proofreads letters and other written documents.
- Organizes client meetings or other meetings for multiple attorneys.
- Meets all deadlines.
- Maintains attorney calendar by planning and scheduling meetings and conferences.
- Represents attorney by communicating on their behalf and obtaining information, following-up on delegated assignments, and knowing when to act and when to refer matters to attorney.
- **Maintains the highest level of confidentiality.**
- Scans/Files all necessary documents into Firm data management system.
**Qualifications**
- Comprehensive understanding of the estate planning and administration processes;
- Must have 3+ years as an estate planning legal administrative assistant;
- Strong attention to detail, excellent spelling and proofreading skills;
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and verbal and written communication skills;
- Knowledge of drafting estate plan documents is encouraged
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task;
- Forward thinker;
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision;
- Knowledge and understanding of a law office environment, dress code, manners and expecations;
- A team-oriented attitude and professional demeanor;
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information;
- Advanced degree preferred, but not required.
**Software knowledge**
- Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat;
- Tabs3, GEMS, Practice Master, EstateWorks, and VISIO (will train on these programs).
**Salary**
$60,000 + and commensurate with experience.
