**Dates**:June 3- July 12
**Hours**: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-3:00pm, with 1 day per week scheduled to assist with Extended Care

Summer of the Arts offers an incredible, nurturing work environment, state-of-the-art facilities, the best and brightest colleagues, a supportive administration, and opportunities for professional growth.
Teachers will:
- Provide quality, nurturing care to children enrolled in the program
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the children
- Implement the summer camp curriculum, policies and procedures, regulations, and guidelines in the day-to-day classroom
- Develop a positive relationship with each child and promote the development of self-esteem and self-discipline
- Establish a positive relationship with each child’s family
- Always maintain direct supervision of all children in care
- Maintain a well-organized, safe, and attractive classroom environment conducive to the optimal growth and development of children
- Perform other duties as required or assigned
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Must have the ability to work as a team player.
- Must have a positive attitude and be passionate about supporting and inspiring children.
- Must have a warm and supportive attitude and disposition toward working with children and their families.
- Must be reliable.
- Must be flexible in receiving assignments or adapting to changes in the program.
- Must be willing to accept supervision to improve work performance.
- Must be physically able to perform the job of a teacher of young children.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- 2-3 years of job-related experience
- Experience in a school or educational setting - preferred
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
**Education**:
- High school or equivalent (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Early Childhood or Elementary Education: 2 years (preferred)
License/Certification:
- CPR Certification (preferred)
- DCF 45 hours training (preferred)
Work Location: In person
