**Position Summary**

Making Opportunity Count is a non-profit community action agency dedicated to serving the complex needs of individuals and communities impacted by poverty. Our mission is to empower families to achieve economic security by eliminating barriers and creating opportunities. Making Opportunity Count’s Advancement Department moves the organization’s mission forward through a variety of fund development and communications initiatives. This position will provide project management, coordination, and communication across multiple departments. The role will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring tasks, ensuring smooth execution and timely completion of a variety of fund development and communications projects.

**Key Responsibilities**

**_
Grant Management:_**
- Coordinate the preparation and submission of grant reports, ensuring compliance with all donor requirements.
- Conduct grant and funding research through various platforms.
- Develop grant outcome measurements and tracking mechanisms to ensure grant performance and ongoing monitoring of those outcomes.
- Develop and maintain an effective grant document system across multiple programs and departments.

Project Management Support:_**
- Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects and activities within the Advancement Department.
- Coordinate project timelines, tasks, and resources to ensure timely completion.
- Handle logístical arrangements for events, meetings, and presentations related to advancement initiatives.
- Track project progress, identify potential issues, and propose solutions to keep projects on track.
- Collaborate with team members to establish project goals, objectives, and success criteria.
- Develop and oversee a system to monitor and report on short and long-term goals for advancement activities aligned with strategies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal requests related to advancement projects, ensuring timely and effective responses.

Communication and Outreach:_**
- Manage communication channels within the department, ensuring effective dissemination of information.
- Coordinate and/or facilitate regular meetings and updates between departments to ensure alignment on project goals and progress.
- Develop and implement communication strategies to enhance understanding and cooperation among various departments.
- Collaborate with program staff to identify and schedule events that align with strategic goals.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project coordination or administration, preferably within a nonprofit or advancement setting.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail.
- Knowledge of grant management processes and requirements.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.
