About the Role

**WFH, Washington, DC metro area preferred**

LexisNexis is looking for a licensing specialist. Experience preferred; entry level considered.

Our licensing team manages 700+ relationships with third-party providers of news and data, a world-class content set which is foundational to LexisNexis, a premier provider of online research and monitoring tools.

This position will initially focus on important administrative tasks supporting the licensing team, and can grow into broader responsibilities, including negotiating licenses and managing licensor relationships. The licensing team is a hub; our team members gain exposure to other LexisNexis teams such as legal, accounts payable, sales, marketing, customer service, and product development.

**Responsibilities**:
- Preparing and delivering reports to licensors to verify usage of content and related fees/royalties- Following established procedures to ensure LexisNexis complies with legal requirements in licenses- Utilizing tools such as Salesforce and our proprietary backend systems to determine which sources of news and data are available to LexisNexis customers- Confirming the technical accuracy of content descriptions in sales and marketing materials delivered to prospective customers- Helping prepare updates to inform LexisNexis executives and teams of key content developments- Performing ad hoc analysis of basic data using Microsoft Excel and similar tools- Performing a wide variety of similar administrative tasks as assigned

**Requirements**:
- Have a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent career experience)- Be a data-driven critical thinker with exceptional attention to detail- Be a close reader and excellent writer; in the 3rd paragraph of your cover letter, explain what attracts you to this position, as well as your near-term and mid-term career aspirations- Possess proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel- Be fluent in English; other languages a plus
