The Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the company complies with all applicable laws and regulations and ordinances at the state, county, and municipal levels, with a specific focus on Arizona Department of Health Services (AZDHS) regulations They are responsible for assisting The Director with the developing and implementing of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. They will also work closely with the compliance manager as they conduct regular audits of the facility to ensure that all policies and procedures are being followed. They investigate and resolve compliance concerns, issues, or violations for the company. The Compliance Specialist will report to the Director of Compliance.

Personnel Duties and Responsibilities:

- Head up the implementation and supervision of the Procanna Platform
- Assist in writing Plan of Correction for any deficiencies obtained during inspections.
- Track and create trainings to guide all departments as it relates to compliance.
- Investigate and resolve compliance concerns, issues, and violations.
-  Report on inventory tracking, testing, transportation, security, waste destruction, quality control, employment, training, recordkeeping, emergency response, safety violations and more.
- Actively participate in team meetings to provide constructive recommendations to support Compliance Department initiatives.
- Regularly audit work done by compliance members.
- Run employee training programs on compliance SOPs and consistently support our team in the maintenance of compliance during everyday operations.
- Organize and maintain files and documents within the company One Drive and compliance software.
- Evaluate and improve efficiency of current team structure and processes and implement new systems and processes as needed.
- Consistently demonstrate commitment to Company core values.
- Participate in risk assessments for each facility regarding safety, health, and compliance.
- Create and or update SOPs as needed for ever-changing policies, company updates or role changes.
- Familiar with OSHA, FEMA, EPA, and other regulating bodies that have a direct impact on the company operations.

Qualifications:

- Demonstrated knowledge of Arizona regulations.
- Strong analytical skills, with an attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with a team independently.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, ability to multitask.
- Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping
- Experience working in cannabis industry, compliance preferred.
- Demonstrates ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Desire and ability to take ownership over your work.
- Flexibility to change as needed.

Qualifications:

- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- At least one year of related experience
- Must have excellent organizational skills.
- Must be able to obtain a Facility Agent card.
- Ability to self-manage and work as a team.
- Hold a valid Facility Agent Card with Arizona Department of Health Services
