Job Title: Environmental Specialist

Trinity Consultants Engineering & EHS Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced Environmental Specialist to join our team.

Responsibilities:
  • Environmental Compliance: Implement and maintain environmental compliance plans, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, including Title V, SWPPP, SPCC, and RCRA.
  • Site Inspections: Participate in or direct on-site inspections to verify compliance with environmental regulations and corporate policies.
  • Recordkeeping: Manage site recordkeeping requirements, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • EMS Management: Update and maintain the Environmental Management System (EMS) to ensure effective environmental management.
  • CEMS Monitoring: Monitor and maintain Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) to ensure accurate emissions data.
  • Waste Management: Manage and schedule waste transportation and disposal in accordance with regulations.
  • Relationships: Foster productive relationships with plant personnel, regulatory agency personnel, and external stakeholders.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate company policies, programs, and procedures to staff and stakeholders.
  • Independence and Multi-tasking: Work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with external consultants, contractors, and resources to achieve environmental goals.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies, Environmental Sciences, Geology, Biology, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in environmental compliance areas, including air, solid waste/hazardous materials management, radiation detection systems, and water quality management in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: General knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations and familiarity with heavy industrial operations.
  • Certifications: Ability to obtain US EPA Method 9 Certification (Visible Emissions Certification) and other required training.
  • Travel: Ability to travel up to 10%.
  • Skills: Excellent writing and computer skills, including email and Microsoft software products (e.g., Word, Excel, & PowerPoint).
  • Communication: Ability to clearly communicate expectations, issues, and feedback.
