**Federal Grant Program Manager**

Apex Applied Technology, Inc. (AATech) - Tucson, AZ

AATech is a successful small engineering and business consulting firm based in Tucson, Arizona. We work primarily with non-profits, tribal governments, and farmer and rancher groups in Arizona. We work to connect our clients with federal resources they can use to further their organizational success while empowering their respective communities. With the fast growth of business, we are seeking a qualified professional to manage a variety of grant programs for our clients. This person will work closely with our clients and will need to be able to see things from their perspectives. This person will also work closely with a small team and needs to be caring and a good communicator. We maintain a high standard of work performance. We also expect the person in this position to advance the company’s mission and vision into the future.

**Job Duties**:

- Work closely with a wide range of clients from a variety of backgrounds to effectively implement and complete federal/private grant programs.
- Track multiple active Federal grant programs ensuring all outlined activities, tasks, and requirements are completed on schedule for each individual program.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual project/program reports, and other required reports per grant requirements.
- Conduct feasibility studies for promising business opportunities, develop business plans, and organize business trainings.
- Coordinate/facilitate meetings, site visits, and workshops. Prepare meeting documents including, but are not limited to, meeting agenda, sign in sheet, handouts, PowerPoint presentations, and meeting minutes/summary, etc.
- Maintain a good document management system for all new and existing grant programs.
- Create and maintain program websites using GoDaddy’s website building tools.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor Degree in Agricultural Science/Engineering, Environmental Science/Engineering, Biosystem Engineering or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience working with private foundation, local, State, and/or Federal government contracts preferred.
- Experience working with underrepresented people from a variety of backgrounds.
- Experience working independently. Must be self-motivated and take responsibility for individual performance and follow-through.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including proper grammar and knowledge of AP Style Writing Guidelines.
- Computer literacy; ability to use Windows-based software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher), Google Drive, social media sites, as well as customized internal systems such as grant tracking software and database management.
- Ability to maintain composure, productivity, and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment with flexibility.
- Ability to take initiative, learn quickly and grasp new overarching concepts while ensuring attention to detail and accuracy.
- Efficient time management and innovative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build relationships with foundation representatives, agency representatives, volunteers, donors and community leaders.

**Required Experience**:

- Master degree preferred
- Professional Writing Experience: 2+ years
- Program Management Experience: 2+ years

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
