This position is responsible for managing contracts with a company s vendors to ensure best prices and the right materials and equipment necessary to function. They oversee the ordering of materials a business uses in producing goods. Procurement Specialists analyze costs, negotiate contract details, and offer strategies and solutions to help companies better manage costs on supplies and vendor services.

**P**R**I**M**ARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Supervised the entire budget estimation and sourcing operations.
- Fosters and maintains positive business relationships with vendors/suppliers and end users.
- Maintains excellent communication with all the business stakeholders.
- Analyzes purchases and offer bids and negotiates, accordingly.
- Interacts with key stakeholders in identifying business needs, building relationships and selling the features and benefits of early procurement involvement.
- Develops detailed sourcing and category plans to maximize effectiveness and efficiency.
- Manages preparation, implementation and execution of procurement processes.
- Implements procurement processes to ensure efficiency, cost savings and best practices.
- Works with finance team throughout the procurement cycle to assist with forecasting and budgeting.
- Assists in vendor selection, management and performance.
- Performs sourcing, liaising and negotiating with new and existing suppliers to improve business.
- Assists project management with contract renewals and contractual terms, discusses pricing, and monitors all aspects of the terms of a contract to produce better savings and further value for spending.
- Creates documentations necessary for the acquisition of materials and services.
- Provides outstanding customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Reviews supplies, works and services to ensure compliance with company procedures and best procurement practice.
- Provides updates about procurement related progress and potential delays daily to the team.
- Maintains positive working relationships with strategic suppliers to assure cost, quality, and delivery targets are met.
- Researches market and delivery trends to develop procurement technologies and processes that support those trends, as needed.
- Assists in asset management procedures as and when required.
- Ensures that the supply chain needs of a company are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Reviews costs, develops relationships with vendors and suppliers, and makes recommendations to project team on procuring materials and supplies.
- Collaborates with construction, project, and administrative teams on inventory control of supplies and materials.
- Coordinates with the warehouse to provide support to the construction, project, and administrative teams on inventory control of supplies and materials.

- Places and tracks orders with vendors and suppliers.

**M**INIMUM REQUIREMENTS**
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Bachelor s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics or related field preferred.
- License/certifications as a Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) preferred.
- Two (2) to five (5) years of previous experience in procurement or purchasing.
- Experience in industry procedures, costs, and terms.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Proficient in the use of Pro-core or other types of Construction. Software programs, desirable.
- Experienced at compiling and following strict budgets.
- Prior military experience preferred.
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification.
