**Position Summary**
We are currently seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team at our corporate office in Irvine.
Accounting/Payroll Clerk responsibilities include the complete cycle of payroll for over 80 properties in ADP from reviewing timecards, processing bi-monthly payroll, preparing import files, and importing files into accounting system as well as assisting accounts payable that includes assisting with capital expense reimbursements and other accounting tasks. Daily use of software programs (e.g., Yardi, QuickBooks Time, ADP Workforce, etc.) to process business transactions. The Accounting Clerk will also assist other team members as needed
**What we Offer**:
- Salary**:$24.00 to $26.00** per hour

- Full time: 40 hours per week
**Job Duties**:
- Ensure all timecards are approved by managers and review for accuracy as well as entering in bonuses, commissions, etc.
- Reconcile hours to ensure accuracy before import to ADP.
- Import and extract files in ADP.
- Process bi-monthly payroll for all properties in ADP individually and run reports including reviewing and approving.
- Update payroll records in ADP by verifying and recording changes affecting net wages such as compensation increases, promotions, transfers, and additional locations for employees.
- Forwards all legal and governmental mail, mandated child support, garnishments, etc. in ADP system for processing.
- Prepare template files in Excel and import in the accounting system for all payroll activity including wages, taxes, worker’s comp, benefit deductions and payments, and 401(k) deductions and payments per pay period.
- Address day to day questions and issues that arise related to timecards and payroll.
- Assist with Accounts Payable where needed.
- Assist with capital expense reimbursements.
- Provide assistance and support to company personnel.
- Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws.
- It is expected that all electronic communications are responded to within a timely manner (24 hours or less) unless additional information is required
**Qualifications**:
- 2 plus years’ experience processing payroll preferably through ADP plus related experience as an Accounting Clerk; Associates degree or relevant certification a plus.
- Yardi experience a plus.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License, reliable transportation and maintain auto insurance coverage as your position may require some driving.
- Competence in personal computer skills, keyboard, internet search, math, Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365 including Word,
- Present self in a neat, clean, and professional manner at all times throughout the workday and/or whenever present at the community or representing the company.
- Comply with expectations as demonstrated in the Employee Handbook.
