**A glimpse of the role**:

- Prepare individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns (experience is required)
- Working with clients to handle all their accounting and tax issues
- Tax planning for individuals and businesses
- Bookkeeping, accounts receivable and payable
- Office administration duties

**Responsibilities**:

- Deliver a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations within timeframe
- Build relationships and interact with clients to provide excellent planning, consulting, and expertise
- Provide innovative tax planning and review complex income tax returns
- Identify and mitigate tax risks
- Bookkeeping including accounts receivable, payable, and entering data accurately into QuickBooks - some reconciliation may be required.
- Other duties as reasonably assigned

**Characteristics and Skills**
- Very good with people. A tax advisor is essentially a counselor. You need to be able to read people, understand people, empathize with people, yet direct and instruct people.
- Teachable. Trainable.
- Hard worker, self-starter, work without supervision
- Detailed, organized.
- Research-minded. Continuing education. Go find the answers.
- Strong IT and computer skills (both the hardware and software side).
- Willing to implement WesternTrust visions. This person will be a relatively autonomous member of the tax business and must be willing to take direction and collaborate with management and the parent company objectives.
- Degree in Tax and/or accounting a plus
- Minimum three (3) years of tax preparation experience in public accounting
- Experience with Tax Software (ProSeries)
- Experience with QuickBooks

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
