**Duties**:
This position is located in the Office of Chief Counsel, Associate Chief Counsel (Finance & Management). The incumbent is responsible for Chief Counsel's Diversity Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) efforts supporting many diverse segments including employees of color, women, people with disabilities, veterans, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and others. The Director plays a critical role in the execution of Chief Counsel programs and initiatives and contributes to the development and implementation of strategies that promote continuous improvement towards a model DEIA program. The Incumbent works alongside Chief Counsel's EEO Office to ensure that equality, fairness, diversity, and access are realized for all employees and applicants for employment, and with external stakeholders. As such, they are responsible for working collaboratively with business units in the creation, promotion, and implementation of diversity, inclusion, and access education and training.

As the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) Director, you will:

- Provide guidance and support to help effectively infuse the DEIA strategy by collaborating with various individuals within Chief Counsel. Serves as a consultant to ensure that policies, initiatives, and programs led by other Chief Counsel offices are equitable, inclusive, and accessible;
- Work closely with leadership to set a strategic policy agenda that examines the implications of disparities by demographic and geographic characteristics and promotes evidence-based policy solutions. Advise and support personnel, volunteers, cohorts and other teams required to implement various aspects of the agenda.
- In coordination with the Chief Counsel and executive leadership, develop the Office's DEIA business strategy and collaborates with business units to ensure DEIA strategic goals are being met;
- Host and facilitate events that promote dialogue and an exchange of ideas on issues critical to Chief Counsel's DEIA agenda, including roundtables, special events, and stakeholder meetings; and
- Create graphic data displays and interpretation of various workforce and contracting performance metrics, including (but not limited to): data sets by race/ethnicity, gender, position grade, occupation, assigned office; workforce demographics, trends, applicant flow, exit surveys, and Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey (FEVS) responses; and performance ratings measures by various groupings.

**Qualifications**:

- To qualify for this position of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) Director, you must meet the qualification requirements listed below by the closing of this announcement:

- **For GS-14**:
**Specialized Experience**:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience providing authorities advice and direction on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) advancement and programs; experience providing technical knowledge of practices sufficient to plan, organize, carry out, and evaluate the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) Office, emphasizing continuous identification and resolution of systemic problems; and experience developing and implementing strategies to ensure Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) is integrated into the organization.
- This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
- Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
