We are looking for a (Human Resources) HR Generalist to join our team and implement various human resources programs. HR Generalists have a broad knowledge of human resources functions, from hiring to onboarding and from employee compensation to evaluation. If you have a passion for HR, are familiar with labor law and look to kickstart your career in the field, this is the place to be. Your role as an HR Generalist will be far from one-dimensional. You’ll undertake a wide range of HR tasks, like organizing trainings, administering employee benefits and leaves and crafting HR policies. You will use Human Resources Information Systems to ensure all employee records are up-to-date and confidential. You’ll act as the main point of contact for employees’ queries on HR-related topics. The goal is to ensure the HR department’s operations will be running smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization as a whole.

**Responsibilities**
- Coordinates new hire process for managing staff including orientation and new hire paperwork
- Handles employment-related inquiries from employees and escalate to Human Resources Director as needed
- Ability to answer employee questions and or concerns regarding Human Resource policy, procedures, or employee handbook interpretations
- Assists Managers and/or Supervisors with employee inquiries, performance review process, coaching, counseling, and terminations
- Assists with maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices
- Records data of employee transfers as well as changes affecting net wages, such as exemptions, and insurance coverage, for each employee for update keeping of master payroll records
- Updates, monitors, and maintains eligible salary adjustments/increases based on one-year evaluations
- Reports, maintains, and monitors all workers' compensation case files; follows-up on open cases
- Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Operate ethically to protect the assets and image of the company
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as per business need

**Requirements**:

- Experience as an HR Generalist
- Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
- Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Aptitude in problem-solving
- Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
- HR training will be a plus

**Physical Requirements**
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
