A&E Incorporated is searching for a **Purchasing Assistant** to support our A&E Tools and Eckmann Custom Product business units. The Purchasing Assistant works closely with the Purchasing Team to support procuring goods and services for the organization, ensuring cost-effective purchases and consistent delivery of high-quality goods.

**HERE'S WHAT YOU WILL DO**
- ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES_
- Process and place purchase orders.
- Update and maintain accurate information in the ERP system.
- Assist with monitoring stock out reports, system generated purchase order recommendations, and other exception reports to identify purchasing needs.
- Maintain current long-term supplier relations, ensuring cost-effective, high-quality products are delivered on time.
- Work collaboratively with our Operations, Engineering, and Planning Teams, ensuring the purchasing requirements are met.
- Complete special projects as assigned.

**WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR**
- KEY REQUIREMENTS, EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE_
- 1-2 years’ experience in a purchasing role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Computer literate with demonstrated working experience/knowledge in an ERP environment (Epicor is a plus), and proficiency in MS Office Suite and Outlook.
- Professional verbal/written communication and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills with the ability to prioritize projects and adapt to changing deadlines.
- Associate degree in business, accounting, supply chain or related field preferred.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
