**About This Role**:
You will serve in the Missing Persons Unit as a Public Safety Specialist (PSS). This position job responsibilities include performing an array of functions that may include:

- Database administration
- Strong ability to utilize a computer, internet, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and the general public
- Ability to analyze facts and exercise sound judgement.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to prepare clear and concise reports.
- Assisting detectives and School Resource Officers with investigations and information networking with outside agencies.

This position requires you to be a creative, multi-tasking, problem solving, organized individual, who is as capable of working in a team environment as well as work independently with mínimal supervision.
**Minimum Requirements**:
High school diploma or G.E.D. and 1 year of related (Administrative Support) experience.
**Preferences**:

- Analytical experience or experience with investigative support
- Strong administrative background
- Microsoft Office Suite to include Excel/PowerPoint
- Experience in a public safety environment.
- VCIN Certification
- RMS Software

Monday - Friday from 8 am to 4 pm with the possibility of limited telework.
**Starting Salary Range**:
$22.68 - $28.00 an hr.
