Job Description

Job Title: Procurement Specialist

Job Summary:

Aurora Flight Sciences is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our Supply Chain Management organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for procuring a diverse portfolio of programs, working closely with suppliers and internal program teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procure build-to-print parts and commercial off-the-shelf components for various programs
  • Develop and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure compliance with acquisition procedures and FAR/DFAR requirements
  • Collaborate with engineering and program management teams to develop RFPs, statements of work, evaluation criteria, and source selection criteria
  • Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and ITAR requirements
  • Provide excellent communication and relationship-building skills to enable effective relationships with suppliers, engineering, and program management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or equivalent work experience in Procurement/Supply Chain Management
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Buyer
  • Overall 5 years' experience in Supply Chain Management
  • Must be a U.S. Person

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience purchasing Build-to-Print parts from machine shops/fabricators
  • Knowledge of compliance acquisition procedures and FAR/DFAR requirements
  • Purchasing experience to include development of RFPs, statements of work, evaluation criteria, and source selection criteria
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to enable effective relationships with suppliers, engineering, and program management
  • Experience with both development and production programs in the aerospace industry
  • International subcontract experience with working knowledge of import/export compliance and ITAR regulations
