**Job description**
- C.C. Hunter, Inc. is currently seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Commercial, Structural Steel Erection and/or Concrete Foremen positions in Houston, Texas. This role is responsible for both supervisory tasks as well as construction work performed in the field. They will provide direction to field personnel on construction projects, making sure resources are allocated effectively and that tasks are executed safely, on time and on budget.

PRIMARY SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Efficiently coordinate and manage all aspects of steel erection projects from start to finish.
- Must be able to lift 70lbs and withstand the physical demands of erecting steel.
- At least 3+ years of experience in welding.
- Sourcing the materials to be used in the project.
- Measuring and cutting materials to specifications.
- Welding materials using the correct materials to join the metals together.
- Checking finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints.
- Instruct and train field staff in the safe operation of construction equipment and tools, and also in job skills.
- Prepare time sheets and administrative reports.
- Recommend purchase of tools, equipment and material.
- Equipment operating: Skidsteer, excavator, fork lift (etc.).
- Maintain good safety and security practices.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum of 3 years on steel construction experience.
- Good reading, writing and math skills.
- An eye for precise detail.
- Working knowledge of safety requirements.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to plan work and anticipate project needs.
- Proven experience in motivating team members.
- Ability to lead by example.
- **Bilingual preferred (Spanish/ English)**
