Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Field Superintendent to manage the structural steel erection activities on our construction sites. The successful candidate will possess a robust background in steel erection, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a strong dedication to maintaining safety and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of steel erection teams, ensuring that tasks are performed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
- Implement and uphold rigorous safety measures and protocols, conducting regular inspections and safety briefings.
- Ensure accurate installation of structural steel, adhering to all engineering and design requirements.
- Act as the main liaison between project management, clients, and subcontractors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Proactively address and resolve any challenges or disputes that arise on-site, making informed decisions to keep the project progressing smoothly.
- Maintain comprehensive records of work progress, safety incidents, and any modifications to project timelines or plans.
- Manage the scheduling and allocation of labor, equipment, and materials necessary for steel erection.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in structural steel erection, with a solid history in a supervisory capacity.
- In-depth knowledge of structural steel fabrication, erection methodologies, and safety regulations.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in diverse weather conditions and at elevated heights.
- Capability to lift and transport heavy materials as required.
