The sales representative is generally the first point of contact for all of our clients. The sales rep is responsible for assisting with the initial catering lead responses, sending menus, standard event details, and photos, record keeping, and inventory management. They also meet with the clients to determine needs, then ensure those needs are met and exceeding their expectations through detailed communication with both client and support staff from prospecting to execution of the event.

We are seeking someone who is passionate about providing incredible customer service, who is creative and can come up with new ways to generate business, and flexible enough to work the various hours that come naturally with events.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Create and maintain strong relationships with vendor partners.
- Proactively generate catering sales leads through networking, outreach, and relationship building.
- Keep accurate organized records of all event details including communications, updates, and payments.
- Respond to inquiries promptly and professionally, providing detailed information on catering options, pricing, and availability.
- Prepare and present accurate event proposals and contracts, ensuring all details are clearly outlined and agreed upon.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the planning process, providing timely updates and addressing any concerns or changes.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, including culinary, operations, and event staff, to ensure seamless execution of events.

**Other Responsibilities**:

- Assists in sales process as requested by the Event Director which can include upselling, tastings, day of coordination.
- Collaborate with clients to customize menus, floor plans, and event details to meet their specific needs and preferences.
- Schedules catering staff and works closely with other departments to coordinate details, special requests, etc
- Handle all third-party rentals for groups and manage deposit schedules for booked events
- Professional appearance maintained by self and all private event personnel
- Assist with marketing initiatives, including creating promotional materials and participating in marketing campaigns as needed.
- Coordinate logistics for events, including equipment rentals, staffing requirements, and special requests.

**Requirements**:

- 1-2 years of experience in a client or customer-facing position (i.e. sales, customer service, retail, hospitality, marketing or brand awareness)
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, communications or business management is preferred
- Compassionate and understanding demeanor
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Entrepreneurial attitude and ability to think outside the box
- Well-organized and can confidently manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Driven, solution-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional service
- Outstanding listening skills and ability to solve problems patiently

**Starting Salary**:
$20-$25/hour for office hours (approx. 20 per week) plus generous commissions package for all sales made

**Reports to**:Owner/Executive Chef

**Schedule**: Regular office hours (Mon-Fri, 3-5 hours/day) plus events (day, evening, weekend)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
