We Require
- Three years of professional development facilitation, adult learning, and development, instructional design, or human talent management experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Organizational Development, Instructional Design, Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field
- Additional experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis

- Master's degree or higher in Education, Organizational Development, Instructional Design, Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field
- Additional experience in multi-media production and interactive e-learning courseware
- In-person and classroom-based instruction for adults with occasional virtual instruction via an online platform
- Experience supporting a diverse employee population on a variety of learning and development initiatives, both in-person and virtually/online
- Experience working in a correctional and/or clinical environment
- National Commission on Correctional Healthcare (NCCHC) or Instructor Level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Job Contributions
- Plans, designs, develops, facilitates department learning and development programs, conducted both in-person and online, using blended learning styles such as group discussion, lecture, team exercises, engagement activities, etc.
- Conducts and evaluates needs assessments and gap analyses to identify deficiencies and recommend suitable training solutions
- Assists in defining key performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of learning and development programs
- Develops attendee evaluation instruments to support instruction and the evaluation of test results and makes recommendations
- Develops customized curriculum aligned with Maricopa County policies and CHS protocols and strategic goals
- Drafts training action plans and oversees the quality and outcomes of the development programs
- Collaborates with department leadership, Educators, Trainers, and Instructional Designers to identify and develop effective learning programs
- Researches training methods and trends and makes recommendations to improve the Correctional Health Services programs and initiatives
- Obtains necessary equipment, space, and other resources necessary to conduct training
- Organizes and archives training documentation in accordance with County retention schedules
- Develops partnerships with other professional training personnel at the County and other government agencies to leverage training resources
- Performs other duties as assigned

Working Conditions
- Must successfully complete an MCSO-HR fingerprint/background check
- Must possess, or have the ability to obtain by the time of hire, a valid Arizona driver's license
- Most work is performed in an office environment, training conference rooms, and jail clinic settings
- Travel to and from jail facilities and job-related locations
