**Job Summary: Provide** technical support services relative to computers, computer software, networks and telecommunication systems. Also, responsible for the End User computing experience including complete hardware and software configuration, integration, administration, support, and maintenance. Responsible for all IS Purchases, inventory, licensing, and decommissioning.
The duties of this position require the employee to have complete access to all information in all of SARC’s systems, including a wide variety of confidential materials.
**Essential Job Functions**:
- Excellent customer skills
- All computer hardware installation, configuration, maintenance and trouble-shooting including updating and replacing internal components, peripherals and closely related items.
- Installation, configuration and maintenance of hardware based security.
- Computer software installation, configuration, trouble-shooting, upgrading, distribution, licensure and management.
- Software backup, access control and password security.
- Automate Processes in relation to Client Software Images, Disaster Recovery, Software distribution and Application management.
- Telephone system management including configuration and maintenance of voice and data communications systems.
- Internet & intranet websites management including maintenance, configuration and updates.
- Working with families providing/training the iPads on special project.
- The duties of this position require complete confidentiality because the employee will have complete access to all information in all of SARC’s systems, including extremely confidential materials. The employee will have access to, and inevitably come into contact with, confidential union, labor relations, collective bargaining, grievance, discipline, and related materials.
- Additional projects as assigned.
**Education/Experience**: Bachelors or Associates degree preferred in computer science or closely related field or equivalent training, 5 years experience in computer systems technical support, familiarity with LANs, WANs and standard PC software products, valid CA driver’s license and reliable, insured transportation.
**Special Skills and Knowledge**:
- Ability to access and secure all manner of communication, record keeping and information control systems and procedures
- Must maintain confidentiality and privacy of records.
- Ability to work independently.
- Problem solving ability.
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated security/confidentiality experience.
- Programming experience
**Physical Requirements**: Adequate manual dexterity and coordination for operation of a computer and other standard office equipment is required for this position. The ability to sit at a workstation for long periods of time, the ability to read, write and comprehend large amounts of written material such as reports and regulations, use the telephone, and communicate via electronic mail are all required on a daily basis. The ability to travel to another work-site location is occasionally required. The ability to stand, sit or walk for moderate distances is also required on a daily basis.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or control and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, kneel, stoop, bend, and squat. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs and infrequently up to 20 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Each of these physical tasks is an essential function of the position.
**Other**: Use of an automobile, possession of a valid driver's license and automobile liability insurance for the minimum amount prescribed by law, OR ability to provide for independent transportation.
Pay: $5,839.00 - $7,099.00 per month
