The Communications Coordinator is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of strategic marketing and communications campaigns to promote services, programs and projects that support or are available to the university community through Living Well as a part of the Division of Human Resources and Organizational Effectiveness (HROE). This position also serves a vital role in collaborating across departments and divisions to support internal and external communications efforts led by the Communications Manager supporting HROE.

**Salary**:Compensation will be commensurate to the selected hire’s experience.

**Required Education and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three years of communications and/or marketing experience.

**Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- Knowledge of social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube, and demonstrated ability to engage and leverage audiences to disseminate content.
- Ability to update graphic design templates using Adobe creative suite and/or Canvas.
- Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet.
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to present information clearly and concisely, in writing, in in-persons presentations and via the web.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related field.
- Prefer two years of experience in managing and coordinating projects, especially those related to health and wellness initiatives.
- Experience in employee health and wellness program delivery.

**Responsibilities**:
**Content creation and social media management**
- Writes, edits and produces brochures, invitations, advertisements, flyers, newsletters, presentations and reports.
- Supports creation of accessible animations, graphics and simulations.
- Reviews for functionality, browser compatibility, consistency and user interface design, ensuring university guidelines are met.
- Approves graphics and multimedia prior to publication.
- Consults with team members on template and coding creation based on program needs.
- Coordinates and reviews publications with printers.
- Oversees and develops presentations, displays and promotional items.
- Oversees the website, mobile app and social media channels, and reviews all website and mobile app updates related to the health and wellness initiative.
- Develops and grows a social media presence for the program in collaboration with the greater HROE social media presence.

**Project leadership**
- Coordinates, develops and implements a comprehensive communications plan for the employee health and wellness program and HROE.
- Coordinates the strategic communications plan with associated partners as appropriate and develops strategies for promoting the program and HROE events.
- Meets with and supports the program team in determining communications priorities, needs and requirements.
- Assures that print and web-based products conform to Texas A&M brand standards.

**Programmatic support**
- Provides in-person and virtual presentations to support promotion of program offerings.
- Takes photos and videos at events for just in time messaging.
- Supports additional program needs within HROE as needed.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift, move, and/or carry heavy objects.
