We do this by supporting children, families, and childcare providers in Essex County through advocacy and action, providing education and referrals, sharing best practices, and helping families access available financial resources.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- ** Payroll Processing**: Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. Address employee payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies.
- ** Benefits Administration**: Oversee employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits. Assist employees with inquiries and enrollment.
- ** Recruitment Support**: Conduct full cycle recruiting, talent acquisition, and onboarding including job posting, resume screening, interviewing, background checks, and conducting orientations.
- ** Off-Boarding**:Prepares paperwork and schedules and/or participates in exit interviews as needed.
- ** Employee Relations**:Serve as the primary point of HR contact for employment-related inquiries from applicants and employees, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the HR Director.
- ** HR Compliance**: Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- ** Data Management**: Maintain accurate and confidential HR records and documentation, including employee files, attendance, and timekeeping.
- ** Absence Management**: Plan, track, and manage employee leaves.
- ** Employee Engagement**: Assist the HR Director with oversight of the Employee Engagement Committee and recommend activities to support ongoing engagement strategies and activities.
- ** Workers Compensation Management**: Administer Workers’ Compensation programs, ensuring timely reporting, claims management, and coordination with insurance providers.

- Office and Digital Literacy: Well-versed in essential office software and able to leverage technology for enhanced productivity. Previous experience with HR software programs such as ADP, and intermediate skills with Microsoft Office, LinkedIn, and others.

**Education and Experience**:

- Current Human Resources Certification required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Human Resource Generalist
- Deep understanding of Labor Law and employment equity regulations
