- **The position is located in the May Lee State Office Complex, Sacramento Headquarters.**
Under the general direction of a Staff Services Manager I, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst independently performs duties relating to the hiring process which includes Recruitment and Classification and Pay functions. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that current laws, rules, and polices are followed throughout the hiring process. The incumbent communicates with all levels of agency staff and provides consultation and guidance on a wide variety of Human Resource related matters that may be complex and sensitive in nature. The incumbent consults with and receives guidance from Control agencies such as the California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) and the State Personnel Board (SPB). The incumbent may participate in hiring events, such as career fairs, and may lead or participate in special projects. The incumbent is responsible for attending and conducting meetings.

Working Conditions
- Telework is available 50% of the time.
- Standard office environment.
- Requires being in a stationary position, consistent with office work, for extended periods of time.
