The Center Associate is responsible for delivering world-class customer service to all customers by receiving and processing packages for courier shipment and operating copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and point-of-sales devices. The Associate expertly advises our valued customers by providing accurate information on our array of products, services, and best-value options, and exhibits confidence by knowing best practices related to the industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquires
- Continuously practices good listening skills with customers, The UPS Store team members, and leadership
- Takes ownership of any shipping issues and offers viable solutions
- Takes action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends
- Operates all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach others
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment
- Performs other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Excellent attendance recordNeat, clean, and professional appearance
- High school diploma or GED required
- Retail/customer service experience required
- Good communication and people skills; strong verbal and written skills, including spelling and math
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites
- Able to cross sell and up sell products and services
- Outstanding phone skillsPrompt, reliable, and responsible
- Able to lift over 40 pounds
- Able to pass background verification for both Fingerprint Roller and Notary PublicWilling to work various shifts and up to 40 hours per-week for up to a 7-day work week when needed
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus

*We are NOT UPS. We are a small business retail store.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week

Shift:

- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift

Weekly day range:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends only

Work Location: In person
