**Job Description Overview**:The Production Line Supervisor for the Corn Cutting and Repacking Line is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the corn processing line. This role ensures that the cutting and repacking processes run efficiently, maintaining high-quality standards and meeting production targets. The Supervisor will manage a team of production workers, emphasizing safety, compliance, and continuous improvement within the production area.
**Responsibilities**:
**Supervision and Leadership**:
- Lead and supervise a team of production workers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Schedule and assign work tasks, ensuring that production goals are met within the set timelines.
**Production Management**:
- Monitor the corn cutting and repacking processes to ensure efficiency and adherence to established standards.
- Address any issues or disruptions in the production line promptly and effectively.
- Implement and maintain production schedules to meet customer orders and delivery deadlines.
**Quality Control**:
- Ensure that all products meet quality standards and specifications for cut and repacked corn.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to identify and resolve any defects or non-conformities.
- Work closely with the Leadership team to implement corrective actions and improvements.
**Safety and Compliance**:
- Promote and enforce a safe working environment by adhering to safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions for production staff.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements, particularly those related to food safety.
**Continuous Improvement**:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Production Manager and other departments to develop and implement best practices specific to corn processing.
**Equipment Maintenance**:
- Ensure all cutting and repacking equipment is properly maintained and functioning efficiently.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule regular equipment checks and repairs.
**Reporting and Documentation**:
- Maintain accurate records of production data, including output, downtime, and quality issues.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on production performance and progress.
**Job Requirements**:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a food processing or manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience in corn processing or a similar agricultural product is highly desirable.
- Knowledge in Food Safety is required.
- Bi-Lingual in Spanish and English is required.
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
