***:The Coordinator of Event Operations provides assistance to the Executive Director and works towards supporting the vision of a comprehensive event management initiative. In this role there will be interaction with both members of the campus community along with external clients. This position supports approvals of campus reservations, as well as assistance with the management of the Haupert Union Building (during the time of renovation the management will include the Priscilla Payne Hurd Academic Complex).

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Event Management**
- Supports the Executive Director in the implementation of a comprehensive event management process.
- Act as administrator for online event management software (including Social Tables and 25Live), and work with campus partners to determine event reservations and setup needs for basic and complex events including but not limited to workshops, seminars, board meetings, conferences, performances, programs, and exhibitions.
- Assist the Executive Director with administrative duties connected to external groups such as scheduling appointments, contract development, and billing.
- Provide organizational assistance for all University events. This includes large campus events such as Commencement, New Student Orientation, Heritage Day, and Trustees.
- Partner with the Executive Director in communications with Facilities, Media Services, Campus Police, and Catering to coordinate internal event logistics for campus spaces.
- Update and maintain departmental website, AMOS page, and social media on a regular basis.
- Complete other duties as assigned.

**Student Union Responsibilities**:

- Provide support to the daily operation of the Haupert Union Building including facility usage, aesthetics, policies, procedures, and practices.
- Supervise and serve as a resource to the Haupert Union Building student staff including but not limited to building managers and social media.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in an appropriate field and some professional experience in event management and/or student union operations preferred.
- Skills or experience in conference services, student staff supervision, leadership development, community development, and a desire to maintain an active involvement with faculty, campus administrators, and external partners.
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities based on previous experiences or institutional needs is expected.
