We utilize cutting edge green technology in our materials and manufacturing processes, and hold multiple U.S. Patents.
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A SUCCESSFUL TUFF CROSS DOCK SUPERVISOR?
- Customer Service & Sales
- Conducts Site Checks as required, adhering to processes and procedures
- Photographs the site; ensure proper building fit on site; offers suggestions to customer on placement, etc; use markers for placement; notifies GM of leveling problems
- Provides back-up coverage for the Cross Dock Sales & Design Consultant: answer phones, greet customers, collect customer leads
- Performs customer service duties: resolve warranty issues
- Obtain building permits from building department
- Operations
- Communicate to the GM regarding sales and activities at the Cross Dock
- Build schedules, including subcontractor scheduling with the Assistant Manager/Production Manager/Scheduling Coordinator
- Participates in identifying qualified subcontractors for the Cross Dock location; maintain relationships with the subcontractors
- Performs customer service warranty repair tasks on customer sites
- Receives and unloads kits from the factory store
- Oversees and coordinates customer builds, home show events, sales floor and incoming sales calls, site inspections, customer permits, warranty calls
- performs quality control inspections
- Inspects and maintains displays, customer repairs
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the Cross Dock, ensures tools and equipment are secured, inventoried, maintained
- Performs monthly cycle counts and ongoing inventory management
- Oversees Cross Dock fleet and DOT policies are adhered to
- Supervisors safety aspects of the Cross Dock as required by OSHA and Tuff Shed
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Ability to work independently in a self-directed setting and with mínimal supervision
- Detail oriented and the ability to organize workload, along with strong follow-up, analytical, problem-solving, reasoning, and sound decision-making skills
- Ability to solve problems using sound logic and good business judgment
- Ability to read, write and understand instructions given orally, in writing and/or in diagram form
- Ability to prepare written correspondence and reports that create a professional image for Tuff Shed
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels, including customers, business partners, suppliers, co-workers, managers, and the general public
- Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable MVR
- DOT, OSHA, and employment law knowledge highly preferred
- Must be able to successfully complete Tuff Shed Forklift Certification
