The Business Unit Director (Norfolk) is a highly visible role responsible for helping PaintJet become an exponentially scalable organization. In this position, will be responsible for fully understanding the market landscape and opportunities for commercial painting contractors in the specified sectors, and leveraging this knowledge to grow our operational capabilities and market presence.

**As PaintJet's Business Unit Director (Norfolk), you will**:

- Develop a deep understanding of the maritime coatings market, with a focus on the maritime industry preservation methods and coating systems.
- Takes ownership of the project information and is able to deliver project status to appropriate parties.
- Identify and pursue business opportunities within the Norfolk market, including sales prospecting, lead generation, and client relationship management.
- Lead the sales and estimating process for this market, preparing accurate and competitive bids for projects while ensuring profitability and adherence to company standards.
- Build and manage a high-performing operations team to execute maritime coatings projects efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
- Implement new technology and innovation into the field operations, leveraging robotics-enhanced solutions to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality of work.
- Collect and analyze data from technology implementation and field operations, reporting back to the leadership team to identify areas for improvement and optimize performance.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize operational processes, enhance productivity, and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with operational leadership and other stakeholders to align business objectives, prioritize initiatives, and achieve company goals.
- Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction.

- Education & Work Related Experience_
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Shipyard Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in shipyard management/project management, with a proven track record of success in sales, estimating, and operations.
- Strong knowledge of maritime industry, particularly in coatings sales and operations.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present ideas and information clearly and persuasively.
