The incumbent will be responsible for developing and executing a sales strategy that focuses on driving new business, building, and maintaining relationships with customers, to support to growing the business.
Your primary goal will be to expand the company's customer base by identifying and targeting new business opportunities. You will also work closely with our operations team to ensure that all customer needs are met and exceeded.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and execute a freight sales strategy that drives new business and increases revenue.
- Identify and target new business opportunities through research and outreach.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure ongoing business and repeat sales.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of shipments. Keep up to date with industry trends and changes, and adapt the company's sales approach accordingly.
**Requirements**:
- Proven track record of success in freight sales and business development.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to lead, manage, and motivate a team.
- Understanding of the freight industry and transportation logistics.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of sales processes and best practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field.
