- Provide legal advice and draft documents associated with the procurement, amendment and resolution of disputes regarding the lease of space for the use of user agencies within the Commonwealth, including leases of state agency headquarters, courthouses, public safety facilities, biotech labs, residential facilities, and other specialized facilities;
- Provide legal advice, engage in negotiations and draft documents associated with commercial real estate acquisition and disposition transactions, which may include resolving title matters and deed restrictions;
- Undertake legal research, prepare memorandum and provide legal advice and counsel in connection with DCAMM’s projects and policies;
- Respond to inquiries from municipal and state employees and elected officials;
- Demonstrate the ability to work as a member of a team that may include members of other departments and outside agencies and municipal and state officials;
- Perform such other duties as requested and required by the General Counsel and/or other Deputy General Counsels.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- At least 3-5 years’ experience in commercial leasing;
- Experience working on commercial real estate transactions, including drafting and negotiations;
- Experience working on leasing deals and negotiations;
- Excellent legal writing, research and analysis skills;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Knowledge of state laws and regulations;
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously under tight time constraints;
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multiple teams.

**Qualifications**
- MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree, admission to the Massachusetts Bar and (A) at least three years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional experience in the practice of law.
- Incumbents may be required to have a current and valid Motor Vehicle Drivers License at a Class level specific to assignment.
