**PURPOSE OF POSITION**

The Major Gift Officer and Director of Engagement focuses on cultivating relationships with existing donors, donor prospects, professional advisors, and nonprofit organizations in order to increase the Quad Cities Community Foundation’s assets through contributions to existing funds, major gifts, new funds and planned gifts. This position will develop and secure new business by seeking out and building relationships with a diversity of donor prospects and nonprofit partners in collaboration with other Community Foundation staff and programs. This position will also play an integral role in planning donor and advisor engagement opportunities and oversight of donor stewardship fulfillment.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- The following are fundamental duties that an individual who holds the position must perform. This is not an exhaustive list. Other duties, in addition to these essential job functions, will be assigned in the discretion of the Vice President of Development._
- Serves on the Development Team with a focus on new gift development by identifying and cultivating donor prospects for charitable gifts and increasing the assets of the Foundation.
- Contribute to philanthropic services, gift development strategies, and nonprofit capacity building programming.
- Cultivates and solicits prospects for new Community Foundation gifts; receives and acts on referrals from professional advisors, board members and community members as assigned.
- Cultivates enduring relationships and provides exemplary customer service to current donors, with the goal of increasing lifetime contributions as well as planned gifts.
- Possesses the capacity and attitude to serve and inspire the community’s diversity of donors, professional advisors, and nonprofit professionals.
- Oversee planning and implementation of stewardship activities and donor and advisor engagement gatherings.
- Travel and attend meetings, presentations and events outside the office including

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
