About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to join our team at Abode Care Partners. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to residents and patients across various settings, including skilled nursing facilities, assisted living, and private homes.

Responsibilities
  • Provides complex and geriatric care to residents and patients across settings in partnership with non-physician practitioners and other interprofessional team members.
  • Keeps high engagement with facility leadership teams, nurse practitioners/physician assistants, patients, and families.
  • Provides collaborating physician duties for nurse practitioners and physician assistants to support them in their clinical roles.
  • Audits medical orders and documentation for each provider monthly.
  • Assumes medical directorships for skilled and/or other senior living facilities as needed.
  • Helps identify new growth opportunities with skilled facilities and/or other senior living facilities in the market/region.
  • Participates in company frontline/backup call processes for timely response to acute changes of condition.
  • Keeps a high focus on quality outcomes, including care path compliance and productivity.
Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited school of medicine and is a Doctor of Medicine.
  • Two or more years of administrative leadership experience in healthcare.
  • Clinical medical experience of seven years or more preferred.
  • Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatrics; qualification in Geriatrics preferred.
  • Practicing physician currently licensed under the provisions of the State Board of Medicine.
  • Active unrestricted licensure to practice in the state of employment.
  • Current Drug Enforcement Administration registration.
