**Responsibilities
- Leads and directs all people functions, strategic initiatives, and day-to-day operations
- Creates and implements strategies to recruit, hire, and retain the employees as well as to promote an engaged business culture
- Leads organizational design, development, and effectiveness at all levels of the organization
- Leads, develops, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the company’s growth, to ensure HR compliance, and to ensure best practices are followed
- Oversees administration of all HR programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, leaves of absence, corrective action, employee problem resolution, investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, employee engagement and satisfaction, occupational health and safety, and training and development
- Monitors and ensures that company is compliant with federal, state, and local labor and employment laws and regulations and HR best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to ensure compliance and best practices are followed
- Manages all aspects of the payroll process, such as ensuring all payroll systems comply with federal tax laws, auditing payroll transactions to ensure that accounts and taxes are accurate up to date
- Supervises personnel involved in payroll and ensures that best financial practices are adhered to
- Maintains knowledge of both HR and business trends, best practices, regulatory changes, HR technologies, talent management, talent acquisition, and labor/employment law
- Mentors HR team and leads professional development, training, and certification activities for the HR team as well
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or related field
- 5 -7 years of human resources experience required
- 3+ years of progressively responsible management experience required
- SHRM-SCP or SPHR preferred
- Advanced knowledge of state and federal labor and employment laws and current HR best practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong management and leadership skills
- Ability to adapt to the needs of the company and employees
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
