Job Summary
- With direction from and in collaboration with the Director of the Sport Leadership Program, the Assistant Director assists in the management, delivery, and oversight for all academic and administrative components. These incudes but is not limited to: the development, assessment, and updating of the graduate curriculum; retention, and training of teaching faculty; course instruction, advisement and retention of students; the continued development of the advisory board and delivery of online and face to face conferences; and the promotion of the Graduate Sport Leadership Program._

Key Outcomes

20% of Time_: Assist in the Leadership of the Graduate Sport Leadership Program_
- Participates in policy discussions and contributes to the overall health of the Graduate Sport Leadership Program.
- Participates in ongoing market analysis activities and other program initiatives as defined by the Dean and Director of the Graduate Sport Leadership Program.
- Serves on various councils, commissions, and committees as set forth in College policy.

60% of Time: _Provide Course Instruction, Advise Students, and Assist with Retention and Students’ Degree Completion_
- Teaches 4 courses per year (12 contact hours).
- Meets with advisees to enroll in new courses and to check on course progress.
- Assists in program communication and retention of students.
- Serves as a readily accessible point of contact and source of information for students, faculty and staff on all matters involving Graduate Sport Leadership Program.

20%: _Assist in the Academic Oversight, Assessment and Evaluation_
- Assists in the development and execution of graduate-level curriculum with curriculum updates and necessary approvals.
- Assists in the Graduate Sport Leadership Program portfolio of required course offerings, schedules and teaching assignments.
- Assists in hiring and onboarding new faculty to the Graduate Sport Leadership Program, including supporting Orientation.
- Assists in department information for program reviews, accreditation visits, and College publications and assists the Dean and Director in preparation for any outside accreditation or program review visits; Commission on Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA).
- Assists in monitoring of quality and currency of the academic offerings in the Graduate Sport Leadership Program and recommends revisions to the curricula and other approaches to improving education.
- Assists in monitoring the adequacy of student support resources and recommends acquisitions relative to graduate programs and offerings.
