AMPD is a sales agency that represents clients (manufacturers, brands, etc.) at the worlds largest club store, Costco. AMPD is a partner to clients and helps them craft brand strategy, develop selling stories for Costco key decision makers to influence new distribution, promotional programs and other activities that drive velocity in Costco stores (and online) to maintain everyday space as well as drive rotational programs with innovation, etc.
The Company owns and operates a portfolio of specialized sales agencies that drive revenue for its brand partners via digital and brickandmortar retail channels, including Walmart, Target, Costco, Amazon, Tik Tok, Sams Club, Best Buy, Walgreens, grocery and numerous additional online marketplaces. The Companys bestofbreed, missioncritical managed services include omnichannel sales strategy, ecommerce optimization, supply chain and logistics management, digital marketing, content services, demand forecasting, retail analytics, and category management. Across our client base we manage over $11billion in annual retail sales for 600+ clients. Established in 2005 and privately held, the company has a long history of accelerating brand growth for consumer brands of all sizes, stages, and industry verticals.
AMPD is looking for a dynamic Director of Sales to lead the charge of expanding our reach into BJs Wholesale Club. The Director of Sales will lead AMPDs client business within BJs ecosystem, acting as a key strategic partner to both brand partners and BJs buyers. This leader will be responsible for developing and executing joint business plans, driving distribution and promotional excellence, and maximizing sellin and sellthrough performance.
This role requires a deep understanding of the club channel, BJs merchandising strategy, and the operational and financial nuances of managing CPG brands within a membershipbased retail environment.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all BJs Wholesale Club sales and account management activities across assigned brand partners.
Develop and execute joint business plans that align with BJs priorities and each brands strategic objectives.
Drive distribution growth, item expansion, and promotional excellence through effective sellin presentations, data insights, and relationship management.
Partner with Category Management, Analytics, and Marketing teams to deliver actionable insights using syndicated data (SPINS, IRI, Numerator, BJs portal, etc.).
Lead forecasting, promotional planning, and trade spend management to achieve volume, profit, and distribution goals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with BJs buying, replenishment, and merchandising teams.
Monitor performance metrics (ACV, velocity, ROI, etc.) and deliver clear, datasupported performance recaps.
8+ years of sales or account management experience in CPG or retail brokerage managing BJs Wholesale Club.
~ Proven track record of driving growth and building strategic retail relationships.
~ Strong understanding of club channel economics, promotion mechanics, and pack configuration strategy.
~ Skilled in sales analytics, forecasting, and trade management.
~ Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
