About the Client Our client is a globally recognized design-focused company known for innovative, human-centered products and a workplace culture grounded in creativity, collaboration, and craftsmanship. They are seeking an HR Coordinator to support key administrative and operational functions across the employee lifecycle. 6 month role for now- possible extension $26-32/hr based on experience Must be able to start ASAP 3-4 days a week in office in Stamford, CT Role Overview The HR Coordinator will handle daily HR administrative tasks, maintain employee records, support Talent Acquisition, and assist with onboarding activities. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and experience working with an HRIS system—Workday preferred. You will partner closely with HR, TA, and business leaders to ensure smooth processes and a consistent employee experience. Key Responsibilities HR Operations & Administration Maintain employee records and process updates, changes, and transactions in Workday Support assignment changes, compensation updates, and new hire entries Manage monthly workflows including anniversaries, birthdays, and recognition gifts Assist with general HR questions, triage inquiries, and escalate as needed Support Leave of Absence tracking Process employee referral bonus submissions Assist with confidential information handling and documentation Create and run basic HR reports; support ad hoc reporting needs Provide administrative support on HR projects as they arise Talent Acquisition Support Intake open roles and assist with compiling job descriptions Prepare requisition information and submit cases within Workday Partner with TA on reposting roles and monitoring candidate flow Support coordination of store-level and corporate recruiting needs Maintain communication with business partners on role status Onboarding & Pre-Hire Support pre-hire processes including system setup and Day 1 readiness Ensure new hires complete compliance tasks on time Assist with onboarding logistics to ensure a positive new-hire experience Qualifications 1–3 years of HR coordination, HR operations, or recruiting coordination experience Experience with Workday or other HRIS systems (preferred) Strong attention to detail and organization Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Comfortable partnering with multiple teams in a fast-paced environment Why This Role Is a Great Fit You’ll have the opportunity to support a design-driven, globally respected brand while gaining hands-on experience across HR operations, TA coordination, and onboarding.
