JOB DESCRIPTION


Mindbank Consulting Group is seeking an DOD Architectural Requirements Compliance Specialist who will be providing analysis, planning, design, and direction of major technology projects with the NMCC impact. In this job you will be representing and assisting the J36 in overall planning, direction, and management of architectural requirements efforts of the NMCC. You will be communicating complex technical requirements to nontechnical personnel. You will be researching and analyzing NC3 policies and performing high level coordination. You will need to have experience putting forward a course of action from that research and analysis by creating papers, presentations etc. and presenting that information to senior officials.


Responsibilities

• Provides analysis, planning, design and direction of major technology projects with the National Military Command Center

• (NMCC) impact. Represents and assists the J36 in overall planning, direction and management of architectural requirements

• efforts of the NMCC. Communicates complex technical requirements to nontechnical personnel.

• Assesses communications and information systems for architectural compliance to meet technical requirements to ensure current

• NMCC systems and solutions adhere to the Nuclear Command and Control Technical Performance Criteria as defined in CJCSI

• 6811.01C. Provides architecture modeling/analysis knowledge to identify and develop solutions to complex enterprise problems.

• Determines the gaps in the current architecture and develops plans for resolution. Ensures technical integration is achieved by

• participating in test planning, validation, and reviews.

• Coordinates with other organizations in the National Military Command System (NMCS) to maintain accurate data, to include

• DISA, Combatant Commands, service components, and other mission partners. Responsible for establishing configuration control

• requirements and procedures by providing guidance and direction to all mission partners to assure compliance with established

• procedures and guidelines. Responsible for maintaining the local repository of reference models and information repository.

• Develops and supports architectural change control processes to support technical systems integration and interoperability design.

• Establishes the documentation required for system baselines. Reviews and determines the adequacy and accuracy of the system

• baselines. Participates in the NMCC Configuration Management Board (NCMB) and reviews proposed new systems, networks,

• and software designs for potential security risks; recommends mitigation strategies and resolves integration issues related to the

• implementation of new systems within the existing infrastructure.

• Maintains relationships with internal and external mission partners to ensure expedited and timely resolution of problems in

• support of the greater mission success. Applies expertise and broad professional knowledge of information security/ information

• assurance policy, standards and practices to all components of the enterprise architecture.


QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS


• Experience researching and analyzing NC3 policies and performing high level coordination.

• Experience putting forward a course of action from that research and analysis by creating papers, presentations etc. and presenting that information to senior officials.

• Experience in creating system baselines.

• Experience in establishing configuration control requirements and procedures by providing guidance and direction to all mission partners to assure compliance with established procedures and guidelines.

• Experience maintaining the local repository of reference models and information repository.

• Experience proposing new system designs and recommending mitigation strategies.

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required for this position.

• If no degree than Ten (10) years of qualifying experience without a degree.

• You will need to have four (4) years of successful and pertinent experience of such nature and level as to provide a knowledge of the basic principles, theories, practices, techniques, terminology and expressions of Nuclear Command and Control/Nuclear Command and Control Communications.

• You will need to possess an understanding of the standard methods, procedures and techniques of research and analysis in the subject matter field along with the ability to acquire subject matter information about the field and related fields and knowledge of literature resources in the field.
