Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Reviewer to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a Compliance Reviewer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the compliance of long-term care facilities with state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain enforcement tracking systems for enforcement reviews.
- Monitor and track survey processes from exit through quality assurance and enforcement reviews.
- Review and analyze survey findings to determine if evidence supports a deficiency/violation and the assigned scope and severity.
- Make state and federal enforcement recommendations.
- Provide consultation and guidance in the development and revision of facilities regional enforcement related guidance.
- Communicate with Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for directives and guidance related to specific enforcement cases.
- Assist in the development of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Knowledge of state and federal laws and rules related to long-term care providers.
- Familiarity with ASPEN and TULIP software programs.
- Ability to gather, organize and analyze facts; to compile and prepare reports; to develop and evaluate policies and procedures and initiate modifications or revisions as appropriate.
- Ability to interpret policies, rules, and regulatory language.
- Ability to communicate effectively with leadership, agency staff, stakeholders, and the public.
