Job Title: Payroll and Benefits Specialist
Location: Marquette, MI
Pay: $45,000 to $55,000

What’s the Job?
- Primary payroll official assuring accurate operation of all payroll, retirement, and other benefit reporting processes for a staff of ~430 personnel.
- Responsible for verification of proper coding, account distribution, and taxes.
- Maintain organization payroll files including confidential deductions and benefits.
- Responsible for performing account adjustments or journal entries related to general ledger account numbers or account distribution changes.
- Responsible for the distribution of monies to annuity companies, health insurance, retirement, and any other payroll deductions and benefits.

What’s Needed?
- Full time, permanent position.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in business and/or experience in payroll.
- Required: excellent customer service skills and a willingness to learn.
- Demonstrated above-average computer skills, including the ability to work efficiently with financial software systems, word processing, databases, and spreadsheets.
- Ability to maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality related to all personal employee and organization information.
